OUR WORSHIP

Gathering to worship God is central to who we are as
Christians in this place –
our regular Sunday service 9.00am follows a much loved pattern of worship which includes the reading of scripture, prayer, reflection, music, and sharing the communion together.

Caring for one another –
loving one another in prayer and service, sharing each other’s joys and burdens.
Celebrating special times –
special services are held to celebrate particular times in the church year – Lent,  Easter,  Matariki,  Pentecost, 9 Lessons and Carols in preparation for Christmas …
Weddings, Baptisms, Funerals  -
St John’s is a church where many gather to celebrate these important family and community events. Contact the Vicar to arrange.
Home Visits – it is the Vicar’s duty and joy to bring the Holy Communion to those unable to come to church. Regular services are also held at Ashlea Grove Resthome.  The vicar also visits people in their own homes.
